Greeting SC APCO Members,
I hope that everyone is staying safe and healthy during these strange and uncertain times.
I want to take a moment to address the Members as your SC APCO President. It is such a great honor to serve you and to follow in the footsteps of our immediate Past President, Rick Blackwell and others.
My tenure with Florence County 911 has awarded me the opportunity to meet and network with so many great people across the state. It was those interactions that lead me to get involved with SC APCO.
Getting involved with APCO helped me grow in my training and leadership skills and has also prepared me for future opportunities.
As your President, I would like to challenge you to become more involved with SC APCO.
As you are aware, our Annual SC APCO/NENA October conference has been cancelled this year, as previously mentioned by Rick. As also stated, the boards are looking to put together a virtual event during the same timeframe. We will be advising more on a future date.
During these difficult times we are facing, you are truly the unsung heroes. You are the “Rock Stars” of Public Safety Communications!!!
Please don’t hesitate to contact me if I can assist you in any way.
Again, it is an honor to serve as your SC APCO President and I’m looking forward to working with ALL of you.
